My Story
My engagement with the Learning@Work project started in 2014. I was invited by the Institute for Adult Learning to be a part of their pioneering team, engaging enterprises to drive workplace learning. While anyone can learn in the workplace, what sets this programme apart is its focused approach.
I have since worked with different organisations within a variety of industries (fashion, home-improvement retail, engineering and F&B) and the engagement with each one has been extremely fulfilling. While the approaches to learning at work are different for each enterprise, the principles behind what we do are universal.
In my long career in both MNCs and SMEs I have had exposure to roles in operations, client servicing and risk control, as well as hands-on experience as an educator and business coach. I have learnt to vary my approach in order to address the different issues that organisations face. I am a mentor at heart and have a strong interest in how people learn and how they apply their learning to what they do.
Besides teaching at an institution for higher learning and holding a Master of Training and Development, my other educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Management (Hons); FICS Specialist Diploma in Compliance (with Merit); Diploma in Management Studies; Certificate of Educational Studies; Certificate in Dyslexia Studies and Support; and a full Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) from the Singapore Workforce Development Agency.
Known for my meticulous yet highly engaging approach, I have conceptualised and co-developed innovative solutions that engage stakeholders in a creative and enlightening manner. I see myself as a catalyst for change and have a good track record for change initiatives in the various organisations I have worked with.
