My Story
Lai Fong's career spanned 27 years, with 18 years in Public Service and 9 years in private practice. Her roles in Public Service included national workforce development, corporate planning, OD and citizen engagement, with stints at SPRING, EMA, CCS and CSC. As a specialist in organisational learning, she documented whole-of-government insights behind signature initiatives like the Integrated Resorts, Our Singapore Conversation and SG50.
As a consultant in private practice, she led projects in leadership, learning and OD. Her key clients included BreadTalk Group, Agency for Integrated Care, Temasek Foundation, Prudential, and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.
In April 2019, she joined IAL as Deputy Director for Programme Planning and Partnership, overseeing the Adult Education Network (AEN), Adult Education Professionalisation (AEP), and Business Development and Marketing functions.
Lai Fong holds a Doctorate in Human and Organisational Learning and Masters in HRD from The George Washington University. She graduated with Honours in Economics from NUS, and also holds an MBA from the California State University. She is a Specialist Adult Educator, a Certified Workplace Learning Specialist, a certified practitioner in Human Systems Dynamics, and received professional training in facilitation, coaching, action learning and design thinking.
